Hospice El Paso now operates our city's first stand-alone hospice inpatient facility- " The Center for Compassionate Care- West."
This 16-bed unit is designed to provide 24 hr specialized care for patients with needs of beyond what can be provided in a home setting. This exclusive staff is made up of a physician, pharmacist, registered nurses, chaplains, nursery assistants, volunteers, plus ventilator, tracheostomy, and respiratory therapists.
This selected team is designed to provide unique and appropriate care so the patient may return home as soon as possible. They manage pain and other symptoms related to the terminal illness, while enhancing the quality of time remaining for their patient and their family.
